Privacy

This site asks you for nothing and stores nothing about you on its servers.

There are no accounts, no sign-up and no newsletter. The one form on this site is the search box; it submits nothing but the words you type into it, and with JavaScript on it does not submit them at all — the search runs in your own browser. Nothing here asks for your name, your email address or anything else about you, because there is nowhere for it to go. It is a set of static files.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. That is why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner.

What your browser remembers

Two small things are stored by your own browser, on your own device. Neither is sent anywhere, and neither can identify you.

Your light or dark preference, so the site opens the way you left it. This stays until you clear your browser data.

How far down a page you had read, so you can return to where you were. This is kept only for the current browser tab and disappears when you close it.

Clearing your browsing data removes both.

Analytics

This site uses no analytics other than Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies. It does not fingerprint your browser and does not follow you to other sites. It was chosen for that reason.

Fonts and images

The typefaces, the notes, the stylesheet and the script are all served from this site. Nothing is fetched from Google Fonts, which would otherwise have been handed your address and your device details by every page you opened. Apart from the Cloudflare analytics counter described above, no other network is contacted while you read.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests your browser makes in order to deliver the pages.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site today. If advertising is added later, this page will say so before the first advert appears, and it will describe what the advertising network does. It will not be added quietly.
