About

These are one nurse's handwritten study notes, scanned and published so that other nursing students can read them for free.

They are written against the Indian Nursing Council syllabus and organised the way the syllabus is taught: subject, then unit, then topic. A subject is stored once and tagged with every course it serves, so Anatomy & Physiology is the same set of notes whether you are reading it for B.Sc Nursing, GNM or ANM.

How the notes are made

Every page here was written by hand on paper and then scanned. Nothing is typed up from a textbook and nothing is generated. What you see is the notebook.

Each topic opens with a short typed summary before the scanned pages begin. That is there for two reasons. It lets you tell in a few seconds whether the page answers the thing you are actually stuck on, which matters when you are revising the night before an exam. It is also the only part a search engine can read: handwriting is invisible to them, so without it nobody would ever find these notes.

Who writes them

The author is a practising nurse. She is not named here, by her own choice, and there is no profile to read. The notes stand on whether they are useful to you.

What this is not

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your prescribed textbooks, your clinical instructors or your own judgement. These are student notes for examination preparation. They can contain mistakes. Where they disagree with your textbook or your teacher, follow your textbook or your teacher, and pleasetell us so the page can be corrected.

The notes are free to read and there is nothing to sign up for. If that ever changes, it will be said plainly here first.
